Garden Dance

Wind coaches flower
The grass and the trees
They dance to the splash of the rain
And the buzz of the bees

The tree bows to the flower
Who on point does a twirl
Acorn props are dropped
By a cooperating squirrel

A bird swoops overhead
Signaling mice
To flick their tales
And hop in circles twice

The wind dies down
The flowers stop dancing
The animals creep home
Oh so happily prancing

The birds fly to their nests
With a quick flap goodbye
The squirrel climbs up a tree
To its home way up high
